Fan Asylum has been managing and coordinating fan club
programs for some of the entertainment industry's hottest
legends and stars. Our current client roster reads like
a virtual Who's Who of popular music -- Maroon 5, Melissa
Etheridge, Whitney
Houston, Michael Bolton and Dave Koz. -- all of whom rely upon Fan Asylum for dependable execution
of their fan club services. These musicians sought the
services of Fan Asylum because of our reputation for providing
unequaled and exciting fan club services, in particular,
preferred fan club seating at headlining concerts, exclusive
fan club travel package excursions, custom collectable
merchandise.
Fan
Asylum first opened its doors in 1984 with four employees,
three computers, a stack of fan mail and one band. These
days, Fan Asylum delivers worldwide service, which plays
an integral part in the overall success of our many clients.
We are an organization born out of one man's passion for
music. At an early age, Fan Asylum's president and founder,
Tim McQuaid, attended his first rock concert and became
so fascinated by the powerful force of the live performance
and the strong connection between the performer and the
audience that he was soon attending any and every concert
he could.
Tim
became a major fan of all music captivated by the near
religious experience created by great artists and their
loyal fans. He began his actual career in the entertainment
business at the San Francisco-based management and production
company, Nightmare Productions. During his time at Nightmare,
the company's chief client was the band Journey -- one
of the biggest rock acts at the time. Tim immersed himself
in every aspect of the music business from merchandising
and promotions to art production -- he even "teched" at
some Journey shows. In addition to all of his other responsibilities,
Tim took a special interest in the inner workings of the
Journey Fan Club, eventually taking it over entirely.
In just one year, fan club enrollment had grown from a
mere 800 members to over 20,000, becoming the model program
for Fan Asylum's current client roster.
